Kraftwerk - Die Mensch-Maschine / The Man-Machine (Remaster)

The Man-Machine is the seventh studio album by Kraftwerk, released in 1978. It was released in Germany as Die Mensch-Maschine. It features the song The Model which was a #1 single in the UK in 1982. It was the first album to see Karl Bartos co-credited with song-writing along with Hütter & Schneider. Emil Schult co-wrote the lyrics for The Model. The share includes both the remastered German release Die Mensch-Maschine and the remastered International release The Man-Machine.

Update Kraftwerk - Computerwelt/Computer World

Kraftwerk's 1981 Computer World has been updated. It now includes both the remastered German release Computerwelt and the remastered International release Computer World.

Kraftwerk - Autobahn (Remaster)

The release of Autobahn in 1974 saw the band moving away from the sound of their earlier albums. They invested in newer technology such as a Minimoog, helping give them a newer, disciplined sound. Autobahn would also be the last album that Conny Plank would engineer. After the commercial success of Autobahn, the band invested money into updating their studio. At this time the painter and graphic artist Emil Schult became a regular collaborator with the band, working alongside the band. Schult designed artwork in addition to later writing lyrics and accompanying the group on tour. The now regarded classic line-up of Kraftwerk was formed in 1975 for the Autobahn tour. During this time, the band were presented as a quartet, with Hütter and Schneider joined by Wolfgang Flür and Karl Bartos, hired as electronic percussionists. This quartet would be the band's public persona for its renowned output of the latter 1970's and early 1980's. Flür had already joined the band in 1973, in preparation for a television appearance to promote Kraftwerk's third album.

Mother Jane - Comes Alive

Klaus Hess, German guitarist known from Hannover based 70's act Jane, formed Mother Jane in 1993. Comes Alive is their 2002 live release. The CD features Klaus Hess (guitar, vocals) - Klaus Henatsch (keyboards) - Kai Schiering (bass,vocals) - Jaye (drums). In 2009 Mother Jane released a all new CD In Dreams.

Rio Reiser - Rio I.

Rio Reiser was a German rock musician and singer of the famous rock group Ton Steine Scherben. He was born Ralph Christian Möbius in Berlin and died at the age of 46 in the little German town of Fresenhagen. In the early 1970's he participated in the squatter scene, for which he wrote the famous Rauchhaussong. The band's original name can be translated as Clay Stones Shards, making both, a reference to Reiser's favorites The Rolling Stones and a political view. The band soon became very popular with the squatter scene, left-wing students and workers' movement and was invited to numerous political events to provide the soundtrack to demonstrations, parties and rallies across Germany which often inspired the audience to translate the message into action afterwards. In 1985 Reiser and the band finally split, partly due to a feeling that is was time to move on, but to a large extent because of a desastrous financial situation. Reiser had a large debt with the group, but his early solo career went so well that he was free from debt in a short time.

His first solo record-album was called Rio I. and included the popular song König von Deutschland (King of Germany). The album was produced by Anette Humpe (ex-Ideal), a renowned German music producer who had already produced Reiser's very first solo single, Dr. Sommer, some time ago when he was in need of cash and had asked her for support. The song König von Deutschland became one of the real hits of Reiser, has been covered and cited by many artists ever since and is still known among most people in Germany. Other hit singles of the first album included the love song Für immer und dich and the melancholic Junimond. Reiser could not repeat the commercial success of the first album, nevertheless he released five further studio albums until his death, most of them highly appraised by the critics.

Bläck Fööss - Roxy

The Bläck Fööss is a folk and beatles inspired band from cologne, germany. They are around there since the early 70's and so they have a 30 year history. The Band should be relative unknown outside of their country. Roxy is their 1996 release. The lyrics ain't true german, but the dialect spoken in their locality, really funny. The titlesong tells us a story from the 70's, when a huge count of cinemas were changed to supermarkets.
Warning this isn't really Krautrock, but I had to supply a label.

Grobschnitt - Jumbo

Grobschnitt formed in 1970. Originally an eight-piece band, Grobschnitt released their self-titled album on Brain in 1972, before paring down into their standard five-piece unit. Their first record is stylistically very different from the symphonic sound that became their hallmark.
In 1975, Wolfgang Jäger alias Popo joined Grobschnitt as a bassist and the group released Jumbo. Jumbo fully realized the symphonic style the band had developed, featuring lush keyboard usage. Jumbo were released twice, with german und english lyrics. Both are included on this CD.

Michael Schenker is a german guitarist first known from the Scorpions. With the Scorpions he released only 2 albums, 1973's Lonesome Crow and 1979's Lovedrive. In 1974 he left the Scorpions to join the british band UFO. After and between UFO he released a string of albums as Michael Schenker Group, McAuley Schenker Group or simply Michael Schenker as this one. Thank You is an acoustic album only played by guitar. No other musicians are involved here. Michael is the brother of Scorpions leader Rudolf Schenker.

The JP's (Jaypee's) were a band from Germany in the late 60's. They have released only this single in 1969 under this name. The JP's were Klaus Hess - guitar, Peter Panka - vocals, Wolfgang Krantz - bass, Klaus Zaake - drums. In the beginning 70's the members regrouped as Jane.


Guitarist Klaus Hess was a founding member of the JP's and Jane. In 1982 he left Jane to record his own material. Technodrome is his second solo release from 1992 and features electronic music.

German drummer Fritz Randow was a longtime member with Eloy from 1971 to 1976, recording 5 albums with them. In 1976 he left Eloy and joined the german band Epitaph. With Epitaph he released this 1979 album Return to Reality. In the beginning 80's he rejoined Eloy (1981–1984), recording another 4 albums. In 1985 he left Eloy again to join heavy metal bands Victory, Sinner and Saxon. As of Summer 2007 Fritz is Peter Panka replacement in Jane.

1981 Hermann Rarebell - Nip In The Bud
Herman Rarebell is a German drummer, best known for his time in the Scorpions 1977-1995, playing on 8 studio albums. He was an important composer writing or co-writing songs like Another Piece of Meat, Falling in Love and Passion Rules The Game. In 1981 he released his first solo album Nip In The Bud. He remains the only member of the Scorpions to have released a solo project while still a full member of the band.

1983 Klaus Peter Matziol - Matze
Klaus Peter Matziol is a German bassist, known from the band Eloy. As a longtime member of Eloy he recorded 10 albums 1976-1984, 1994.
In 1983 he recorded his solo album Matze with german lyrics.



1983 Klaus Hess - Sternentanz
Klaus Hess is a German guitarist, known from the band Jane. With Jane he recorded 11 albums from 1972 - 1982. Much of the bands output in these Years are compositions from Klaus Hess. In 1994 Jane disbanded, but 2 different Jane's are still touring with a changed lineup(Peter Panka's Jane, Mother Jane).

1987 Manfred Wieczorke - Transfer
Manfred Wieczorke is a German keyboardist, who played with two of the Hannover bands. First together with Eloy 1971 - 1975 releasing four albums. Then together with Jane 1976 - 1979 releasing again four albums.
Amazingly, the albums with his involvement are the best of the two bands.

Scorpions - Scorpions As Hunters

This is the rarest Scorpions recording you will ever own. In 1975 the Scorpions went into the studio under their pseudonym The Hunters and recorded two songs by the British band Sweet. The Songs are Fox on the run and Action. They released these recordings on single only . Klaus Meine sings both songs with German lyrics and Uli Roth plays killer guitar solos as usual for this era. I like the cover, the little fox on the cover try to look dangerous. Nice try foxy:-)
Have found this somewhere on the net and cleaned this vinyl rip a bit.

Eroc Discography

Eroc (Joachim Heinz Ehrig) started his solo career in 1975 while he was currently the drummer of Grobschnitt. His self titled album can be considered as a cross between Grobschnitt’s typical symphonic amazing music and electronic/ synthscapes dominated by numerous original sound manipulations. Despite that he was originally recognised as a drummer, here Eroc is the man behind the machines,controlling solid essays in synth experimentations and electronic collages. His first album is an absolute must have in Kraut- electronic genre, very abstract, emotional and a mix of different moods. His following album Zwei continues to process by a combination between rock and electronic but focused on short, efficient sketches.









Humour and derision are clearly exposed in the lyrics and recitations.
Zwei is a reminiscence of Grobschnitt’s theatrical universe with lot of gags, but the atmosphere is much more introspective, sometimes delivering deliciously melancholic melodies. After this two first very recommended efforts, Eroc pursues his solo career notably providing a kind of reunion, family album Eroc 3 with others Grobschnitt members.









In parallel he also started a professional career as music producer, recently published albums of Jane, Grobschnitt among others.

Lokomotive Kreuzberg - Kollege Klatt

Kollege Klatt was Lokomotive (or Lok for short) Kreuzberg very first record. Lokomotive Kreuzberg were the most important political rock band to emerge from Berlin. Five left-wing ex-students formed the band at the beginning of 1972. They had theatrical live shows, where the music only served as a texture and background for their 'cabaret performances'. Kollege Klatt containes a full variety of musical styles.
