Home - Home (1972)
Here's the third of Home's studio albums. It's their second album from 1972. So all the studio recordings regarding Home now posted. Quality: 320 kb/s Vinyl ripped with some klicks.
Just wanted to say thanks for the Home albums. Mick Cook was my uncle and sadly died in April 1996. He missed out on hearing and seeing his music released on CD and talked about on the Internet. After Home he went on, with my father to perform in the Groundhogs. I've been trying to gather all the albums that he and my father played on and thanks to you I've managed to do just that. I'm really glad there's an audience for his music and that it still provokes reactions many years after it's release. Thanks again Gaven Kent (espresso_monkey@hotmail.com)
Thanks for your comment. I'm unsure if these recordings are released on CD, but I guess they don't. As these posts were made a long time ago, I think they are all vinyl rips cleaned by myself. I'm proud to helped you in gathering these long lost recordings.
Thanks again for the link. I'm planing to post a new article with all four recordings and new text. If you want to help on the text please drop me a note.
Thats brilliant.Maybe a Mick Cook era Groundhogs page? I've got the two studio albums and two live albums (UK and Sweden) if you need them. Let me know. Keep up the good work Gaven
hi the seeker, thanks for this and the other home albums. Already have this on a very worn vinyl copy, in fact it was the first album i ever bought after seeing the live in support of mott the hoople. fell in love with them and this has been one of my fav albums of all time ever since. i heard that laurie wisefield (lead guitar)was playing guitar in the show "we will rock you" the queen show, in london, what a waste of his talent. thanks again for the post i,m off to trawl through the rest of your blog. regards anthony
Wow, 5 years and still working... really difficult album to find, at least from spain. I had to search using band members name in order to reach this place. Thanks a lot

Home is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI have all there albums icluding
there fourth one: "Live BBC"
I've read somewhere that both Mick's
have died; Mick Stubbs and Mick Cook.
Do you when and how they died? I can't find it anywhere! Thanks!
Karel
Absolutely stunning guitar work! And it's all played with a relatively clean tone. The melodies are memorably sweet as well. E.T., go Home!
