Black Tie was a country-rock band that featured Billy Swan, Bread's Jimmy Griffith, and Randy Meisner, formerly of the Eagles. Black Tie's lone release was a 1985 covers collection entitled When the Night Falls. While the project was quite brief, it did produce a minor charting hit in a country-fried cover of Buddy Holly's Learning the Game.Contributed by user

Thanks have always wanted to hear this.
Band member was Jimmy GRIFFIN, not Griffith.
I have been looking around at your blog this morning, and you've put up some good stuff here--plenty of interesting info about the bands. Keep up the good work, whenever you can.

Was Bernie Leadon in this group for a short time and if he was why did he leave?

I'm sorry, I've no additional info if Bernie was a member. I simply don't know...
